Central Avenue Paper and Print is a full-service print and stationary shop serving customers looking to celebrate birthdays, weddings, graduations and all of life’s milestones – in style. But that’s not all. This custom design and print house cranks out an array of professional products for businesses that need start-to-finish designs. From business cards to baby announcements and letterpress creations, this family-owned small business has something for everyone in the small town of Boulder Creek, California.
When Lisa and Joe Maggio moved to Boulder Creek, California, they bought a home and a business. Once known as Sincerely Yours Business Service, the quaint print shop came with a store front and not much else. Employing the stationary forte of daughter Nichole and her design skills, along with that of husband Joe, Lisa and her family set forth with big dreams.
Nichole was in charge of ordering beautiful stationary and she and Joe began handling custom jobs, as well as creating in-house designs. Lisa took the job of handling the books and accounts and the three relaunched the print shop as Central Avenue Paper & Print. Their goal: create a place with something for everyone and support the community by creating a reason for locals to shop downtown. By focusing on well-designed and beautiful products, as well as offering workshops to spark customers’ own creative inspiration, Central Avenue Paper & Print has become a downtown destination with something for everyone.
Keeping up with the books for Central Avenue Paper & Print has been a rough road, and Lisa knew she wanted to sync their Square sales information to their QuickBooks Desktop account so she could focus on other tasks related to the business. She worked with several CPA’s to find an integration that worked with no luck. Finally, Lisa found someone who recommended trying Commerce Sync. Although there were some technical issues with her QuickBooks Desktop account that prevented Lisa from getting up and running on the first try, the customer experience team at Commerce Sync assured her they were working on a new solution and promised they would reach out as soon as it was ready.
