After spending several years in the mining industry, he decided the time was right and on April 16, 2015 opened Another Man’s Treasures, an antique vintage and collectible shop. Tyson had learned a lot about the antique business from his mother, who runs a large antique shop in Salt Lake City. Over the last ten years, Tyson often found himself attending estate sales and helping his mother buy and consign various items for her shop so he had a good feel for what types of items customers most often looked for. Tyson loves the fact that he can offer items to fit every price range and every taste and that his store is helping revitalize other stores in the area by drawing in more customers looking for one-of-a kind items. Challenge Since Tyson is a new entrepreneur, he knew there would be a learning curve to get Another Man’s Treasures up and running. In addition to being new to QuickBooks accounting software, Tyson wasn’t sold on the Point of Sale (POS) solution that most vintage and collectible owners use and wanted to find another way. Since he also consigns items for others, he wanted a system that could keep track of sales in a way that was conducive to how he was running the business.Learn how Another Man's Treasures saves time by using Sales by Category to track items sold.
